According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: “Getting a flu vaccine during 2020-2021 is more important than ever because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Flu vaccination is especially important for adults 65 and older, who account for most hospitalizations and deaths from flu and from COVID-19.”
If you haven’t already been vaccinated, we hope that you and your family will schedule your flu shots today. Be sure to ask for the senior flu shot for anybody in your family 65 and older.
Usually flu shots are free, with most insurance. Check with your doctor or local pharmacist. Some pharmacies even allow walk-ins.
Seniors In Place diligently follows the advice of the CDC for COVID-19 and all other infectious diseases.
For instance, since the outbreak of the coronavirus, we developed our own COVID-19 policies and procedures based upon CDC guidelines. We then re-wrote them 19 times, as more guidelines and information became available.
